On May 19, 2022, the Shridath Ramphal Center, United States of America Embassy, in collaboration with the Caribbean Policy Consortium-CPC (www.cpccaribbean.org), will host the webinar “Exploring Business Opportunities for and with the Private Sector: A Transactional Focus.” In this webinar, panelists will explore US Business opportunities for and with the Caribbean Private Sector, with a focus on notable issues in need of attention and the opportunity to discuss these issues between key stakeholders and academics. The featured presenter Economist Dr. Scott MacDonald will present several recommendations to advance the Caribbean Private Sector’s penetration within the U.S. Market, notably:

  1. The Agri-Business, Business Process Outsourcing, Green Energy, Fintech and Captive Insurance Industries are key opportunities for Caribbean companies;   
  2. US Market Intelligence inclusive of an identification of key U.S. State Trade Promotion government agencies is critical for Caribbean companies seeking to enter the U.S. market;
  3. Caribbean Agri-business processors must develop an ongoing dialogue with major North American grocery chains
